Christmas Outreach at Pamalihi Elementary School

On December 22, the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro East Urban visited Pamalihi Elementary School in Cagayan de Oro for our annual Christmas outreach. This has become a meaningful tradition for our club, a time during the holiday season when we spend the day with the children and teachers and share simple gifts and meals.

This year’s project was led by Project Chair Angie Lim, who managed everything from purchasing and packing the gifts to organizing the program and coordinating volunteers on-site. She was assisted by her son, King, who helped ensure the smooth distribution of food packs and presents.

Club President Stephanie Caragos and Director Bing Dacudao were also present, guiding and supporting the team throughout the day.

In total, 24 Rotarians took part in the activity, helping with registration, organizing the children, handing out gifts, and serving food.

By the numbers:

  • 270 children received gifts and food packs
  • 12 teachers were given support and tokens of appreciation
  • 24 Rotarians volunteered on-site

The children and teachers prepared song and dance performances to welcome us. Their effort and enthusiasm turned the outreach into more than just a distribution, it became a shared celebration. Laughter, applause, and smiles filled the area as each child received their gift.

We are grateful to Pat Bales and all the members who gave their time, effort, and resources to make this project possible. The day ended with a simple fellowship meal among club members, reflecting on the experience and appreciating the opportunity to serve together once again.
