“Building brighter futures, one story at a time.”
August 20, 2025 — San Simon Integrated Elementary School, Cagayan de Oro City

The Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro East Urban successfully handed over more than 450 books and school supplies to San Simon Integrated School, a learning community with 615 students and 34 dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff.

The collection ranged from brand new textbooks to well-preserved older titles, giving children access to more learning resources and opportunities to dream bigger. As the school head expressed, “Through books, you get to travel the world.”

This meaningful initiative was chaired by PP Myrna Motoomull under the leadership of Service Director PP Bing Dacudao, reflecting RCEU’s continued commitment to uplifting education and empowering young learners. Congratulations also go to President Stephanie for another completed project that strengthens our club’s mission of service above self.

Why It Matters
A book can ignite curiosity, open a mind, and inspire a child to imagine a different tomorrow. And in San Simon, each book donated is more than a gift, it is a promise.

The San Simon Book Donation Project stands as a reminder that even the simplest gifts, like books, can carry powerful meaning. Each story offered to the children is also a story of hope for the future, a future where dreams are nurtured, opportunities are abundant, and education continues to light the path forward.

“Building brighter futures, one story at a time.”
