Honoring a Year of Purposeful Service
Immediate Past President Christina “Christy” Malferrari Jugador brought her Rotary Year to a joyful close with a sense of pride and deep fulfillment. Her radiant smile throughout the evening spoke volumes, a reflection of a term well served, grounded in compassion, excellence, and commitment. Under her leadership, the club successfully implemented projects that touched all of Rotary’s Seven Areas of Focus, amplified Public Image initiatives, and supported the fight to End Polio. The club also received multiple awards from District 3870 and two distinctions for Public Image from Zone 10A. Christy’s accomplishments were made even more meaningful through the consistent support of a club united by service and heart.
A New Chapter Begins
A highlight of the evening was the formal handover to incoming President Stephanie Rosalind P. Caragos, a third-generation Rotarian whose leadership is grounded in family legacy, professional excellence, and a deep commitment to community. In her acceptance speech, Stephanie acknowledged the demands of her professional life, leading a company, mentoring in the tech and Business Process Outsourcing Industry, and juggling national commitments, yet made the conscious decision to accept the role of president, knowing that when something truly matters, we find time. She declared, “I stand here tonight not because I was the most available, but because I believe in the Rotary vision and the work we do together. This club is home to people who show up, step up, and deliver with impact.”
She further shared, “The strength of this club lies not in its history or its size, but in its consistency and heart. We are a club that shows up. That gets things done. That understands service is not an event. It is a way of life.”
President Stephanie’s remarks honored the past while calling on members to unite for collective good. With Governor Marlowe’s district goal of 80 stars, the club is already off to a strong start, having completed strategic planning and multiple projects, including Project Yakap, with a reported impact of over 22,000 individuals.
Recognizing Rotary Leadership
The evening was elevated by the presence of dedicated Rotary leaders. PAG Conchitina, PDG Bong Buot, and IPDG Hubert Quiblat were recognized for their vital roles—delivering the Charging of New Members, conducting the Induction of New Members, and giving the Charging of Officers. The club extends heartfelt thanks to these leaders for the inspiration, encouragement, and Rotary spirit they brought to the evening.
Governor Marlowe led the Induction of Officers and delivered a stirring keynote message. He expressed his appreciation for how the club holds dear its traditions and honors the legacy passed on through generations, while also remaining open to change, innovation, and growth.
Welcoming New Members
The club proudly welcomed new members Mika Mora, Sam Booc, Lolit Villanueva, Jocelyn Lim Koh (returning), and Dionela Juaneza. Their energy and commitment further strengthen RCEU’s resolve to stay future-ready while remaining grounded in its Rotary roots.
Celebrating Women, Culture, and Commitment
The evening also shone a spotlight on the remarkable women of RCEU, who continue to lead with strength, compassion, and grace. A graceful Carinosa performance by the ladies of the club added beauty, tradition, and joy to the program—making the celebration both culturally meaningful and truly memorable.
